35TH ANNIVERSARY OF GROUP III's ARRIVAL IN THE US

Thirty five years ago on March 12 (1969), a group of quoc-gia nghia-tu students, graduated from different high schools in Viet-Nam, adventured out of their beloved homeland to a new land for USAID leardership program.  They now have found not only the successes but also the lifetime friendship in a special bond of USAID (Scholarship) Group 3.  More than thirty members got together at Son and Thanh-Dung's house in Carlsbad, California for a memorable reunion on 3/13/2004.  Besides the local members from Southern California (Hai/Ngoc-Dung, Cung/Thuy, Quang/Kim, Loi/Nhung, Khiet/Chi, Tri, Ngon, Da/Ngoc Dung, Tuan/Hoan, Van, etc.) there were out-of-towners (Phan/Thu from San Jose, and Hong/Hau from Seattle).  Two couples from USAID group 1 who didn't want to miss the fun were Ngoc/Tuyet Nhung and That/Qui.  The special guest was Dr. Vo Kim Son, a former science teacher at QGNT-Saigon.
